• Comments: Video Girl Ai is a favorite of mine ever since I collected the original Manga.
  
  Back in 2001 at AWA I saw Lee Thompson's Video Girl Ai AMV and thought it was one of the best Romance videos I've seen up to that point. I've always wanted to used the OVA series but all that would come to mind was Lee's video and thus for several years I never developed any concepts.
  
  Then When I heard No Doubt's "It's My Life" I immediately thought of Video Girl Ai. The song was perfect from the view point of Ai and her struggle to take control of her existence and love for Yota
  
  Originally I was going to use a lot of digital manipulation to get the video an artistic feel, but eventually felt that would distract from the story and therefore I went with the untouched footage.
  
  Overall, I like how this video turned out and feel it's quite strong emotionally.
  
  Today’s younger anime audiences may not have seen Video Girl Ai since it’s a older OVA series now well over 10 years old, but I feel it’s a timeless tale of young love and the struggle to be together.
