  • Comments: With a new year (and a new anime season), it meant it was time to look for another show to follow (especially since it appeared that there wouldn't be any new JoJo anime until 2018 at the earliest). After seeing the title's name on a number of message boards that I visit, and thinking that this anime would appeal to me after reading about it on Wikipedia, the main series I decided to give a try was Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, the latest title from Kyoto Animation. After watching the first couple of episodes on back-to-back nights, I became hooked on the show and its blend of humor (i.e. dragons on a see-saw), cuteness (Kanna is best dragon) and heart.

    While thinking of songs that could fit with the anime, one song that immediately popped to mind was "Boo Bop Bop Bop Bop (I Love You, Too)" from the original version of Pete's Dragon, a song that I was very familiar with thanks to the "Disney's Evangelion" AMV. While I had a little bit of reluctance due to song already being associated with an already memorable AMV, the idea of a Pete's Dragon/Dragon Maid combo was one that was too good not to pass up, with me starting the the project within a month of Dragon Maid's initial airing in Japan (and then pacing myself during the early weeks of editing to ensure that I can incorporate footage from latter episodes into the video).
