Signature Competition Ideas, Suggestions, and Discussion
so if it's okay with the admins and stuff, and you guys, I'd like to start a themed, time limited, size restricted signature competition.
an example of a competition would be like, from today, till the 15th, we'd have to make a Love Hina sig, 320x120 in size. then when the 15th would come, we'd post them in the special thread we'd have only for submissions, and then whoever submitted a sig for the comp, would be able to vote but not for themselves obviously. whoever gets the most votes wins, if there's a tie, well, we can discuss that.. so guys? what do ya think?
if we decide to go with it, we'd have to agree on a theme, desired size, and time limit.. lets get crakin.

Interesting idea. If your aim is to make a collection of signatures that other members here can use I'd propose making the dimensions comply with the sig rules (600x80 or less)

I am for this, though I'd be for no given size (ofc capped by 600x80) and no special thread for it - one is enough, IMO.

now you changed everything for me.. *devastated*
well giving only 80 pixels in height really weighs the creativity level down imo.. I mean, how much can you do with 80 pixels in height, y'know?
but if it comes down to it, you could make 2 proper sized sigs, stack them and make them match to look like one sig..

Re: Signature Competition Ideas, Suggestions, and Discussion
that would be breaking the forum rules though
total sig size is limited to 600x80 (or 4 lines of normal text)
which means your sig is breaking the rules, being 80px + 1 line of text. I'm not gonna do anything about that though

I usually work with 300x40, as you can see.HollyFlower91 wrote:now you changed everything for me.. *devastated*

After all, it's just another (minor) challenge :>

You only have to follow those rules if you want them to be used here.
I just think that you'd get more participation from here if the sigs could be used here is all

Re: Signature Competition Ideas, Suggestions, and Discussion
an admin giving a user the choice of RULE MAKING?!
but seriously, you're the admin, I guess you know the users better here, I'm kinda leading toward more people participating rather then only me you and Nyachan participating and making huge sigs that can't even be used.
I thought anime fans were crazy for sig making? :[ wha happen?

eh, it's a different community, which going from this thread is mainly the college & beyond crowd.
Maybe sig making is more the Middle school / High school crowd's thing?
